Iniala Valletta reviews

Summary of 274 recent reviews

Recent reviews put the staff first. Guests highlight attentive, discreet service, with a champagne welcome. The concierge arranges private tours, boat trips and restaurant tables. The view of the Grand Harbour comes up almost as often. From the balconies and the terrace, you can watch ships sail past and hear the cannons fire.

The location is unanimously praised. The hotel stands on a quiet street, a few minutes’ walk from the historic centre. Boats to the Three Cities and the fast ferry to Gozo leave just below. The à la carte breakfast, served facing the harbour, is very popular. The ION Harbour tasting menu also leaves a lasting impression.

Criticism is rare but consistent. The entry-level studios in the Hideaway annex are felt to be very small, with an open shower. Rooms in the annexes mean going outside to reach the spa or the restaurant. The indoor pool seems small, and the hotel has no outdoor pool in operation. A few guests also miss an à la carte menu at ION Harbour. Others mention the noise of the cannons.

The Iniala Harbour House is best suited to couples who want a refined stay in Valletta. It is best to book a harbour-facing suite in the main building. Those looking for a resort with a beach and a large pool should look elsewhere.
